The cross-country race on the Rennsteig is the largest cross-country race in Central Europe. Around 15,000 runners, Nordic walkers and hikers take part every year. The top distance is the super marathon from Eisenach to Schmiedefeld.

International German Motorcycle Championship at the Schleizer Dreieck
The Schleizer Deieck is the oldest natural race track in Germany. With a track distance of 3,850 metres and 14 bends, it is a popular destination for the motorsport scene.

TT-Finals in Erfurt
The German Table Tennis Championships have been held in Erfurt since 2024 and the Erfurt exhibition centre is transformed into a huge table tennis arena. The German champions of the women's, men's, youth 15, youth 19 and performance classes will be crowned, as well as the German champions of the seniors. In additional to the sporting action, a colourful supporting programme with activities for children and adults awaits all fans in the heart of Thuringia.
