From 20 to 23 September Thuringia will be hosting the Thuringia Travel Summit 2026. In cooperation with the German National Tourist Board (DZT) we are inviting representatives from Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland to learn more about Thuringia and get in touch with Thuringian suppliers.
Following the opening event at the world’s first desert and rainforest house, the Danakil at egapark Erfurt, several tours take you through Thuringia on Monday. The tour themes range from UNESCO World Heritage sites, via palaces and castles to cuisine, arts and crafts, and tradition. A B2B workshop in the historic St Peter’s Church in Erfurt on Tuesday offers the opportunity to make direct contact with Thuringian suppliers. The event concludes with a ‘Dinner under the Stars’ at the Zeiss Planetarium in Jena. The world’s longest-serving large-dome projection planetarium houses state-of-the-art audio and video technology, which is unique in Europe.

Please note: Registration for this event is only possible via your local DZT office. We look forward to seeing you in Thuringia!

Our office in Erfurt.
A historic place

Older Erfurt residents remember: Where today Thüringer Tourismus GmbH is at home used to be the "Erfurter Hof" hotel. The building is historic. In the middle of the Cold War, on 19 March 1970, the "Erfurt Summit" took place here, a meeting of West German Chancellor Willy Brandt and East German Prime Minister Willy Stoph. A neon sign on the roof commemorates the events and echoes the chants of the crowd gathered on the forecourt: "Willy Brandt to the window". In our conference room on the 2nd floor is the very window where Willy Brandt once waved to the people.
